How To Use A Body Scrub

How To Use A Body Scrub
Exfoliation is one of the most important steps in a skin care routine, especially in a self tanning routine! Did you know your self tan success mostly depends on exfoliating two days prior to your self tanning application? Indeed, by skipping this very important preparation step, the result of your self-tanner could be uneven as it will develop more on the areas where the skin is drier.

AND it’s also the best way to keep your skin soft and healthy! This is true for both your body and face and we recommend opting for an exfoliating body scrub made without mineral oil such as Nuda’s Body Exfoliant. What our customers love about our Body Exfoliant is that it’s not harsh on the skin, it can be used on the face and it smells sooooo good!

How to use it?

Step 1

We recommend starting your exfoliation by taking a nice, warm, relaxing bath or shower. This will help open your pores and enhance the efficiency of your scrub to remove dead cells from your skin (and make the experience feel like a day at the spa)!

Extra tip: If you have to shave, exfoliate first and shave second to make sure you don’t irritate your skin. Plus, you will achieve a cleaner shave with exfoliated skin!

Step 2

Apply the exfoliant all over the body and massage your skin in circular motions. We recommend using an Exfoliating Mitt to apply the product and massage for more efficiency. Now, scrub gently, not too aggressively with the exfoliating mitt for a gentle exfoliation. You don’t want to irritate your skin!

Step 3

Now let’s rinse! Keep your Exfoliating Mitt and rinse while still massaging your skin in circular motions and wash with a Body Wash. Finally, after getting out of your bath or shower, dry with a towel and apply a moisturizer on your skin to lock in hydration and make your skin feel even smoother!

How often should I exfoliate?

Depending on the season and how much you have dry skin or sensitive skin in general, we recommend exfoliation no more than twice a week on average to give your skin a break between sessions.

Also, you don’t want to exfoliate after self tanning if you want your self tan to last; it would damage the result! If you do wish to remove your self tan: yes, you can exfoliate. Exfoliation will leave your skin smooth and help your skin get rid of dead skin cells.
